Wedding rings are symbol of marriage which you exchange during the wedding service.

It is a simple band unlike an engagement ring. First of all you should decide what type of metal you use for your wedding ring gold, white gold, platinum or titanium. And also you should consider whether you wear it regularly or only when you go out. If you wear it 24 hours a day it should be durable and not be irritative.

Yellowish gold is more commonly used in old days, but now white gold has become more popular among modern generation. Platinum and titanium are more expensive and heavy. They are 4 to 5 times expensive than gold but its finish will last for years without any scratch marks. Though the white gold is cheapest you will find a fade in the colour after many years.

Design of wedding rings varied and you can ask for the latest designs from the shop attendant. Some prefer with a small gemstone or diamond. You can add your birth-stone to your wedding band if you like. Try to match it with your engagement ring if so.

The ‘finish’ of a wedding ring also very important. Mirror finish is more attractive where the ring is polished until reflective and looks elegant and traditional. Selecting the correct size as well very important to avoid uncomfortable situation during exchanging the wedding rings. Thin band will not support you to expand if your finger becomes plump. Therefore it is advisable to buy a little thicker ring which can be enlarge accordingly.
